Peter Bond qualified as an Engineer in 1969 and holds an Honors Degree in Civil Engineering. He has been a Professional Engineer with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) since 1974, Reg. No 740216. A member of the South African Institute of Civil Engineers (SAICE) and a registered Engineer with the National Home Building Registration Council (NHBRC).
